Motherhood of the Brotherhood, Inc. (“MOTB”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy explains data collection and use practices of the Motherhoodofthebrotherhood.org site (the “Site”). By accessing the Site, you are consenting to the information collection and use practices described in this privacy statement. 

1. WHAT THIS PRIVACY POLICY COVERS

  1. General. This policy covers how MOTB treats personal information that MOTB collects and receives. 

  2. Companies Not Controlled. This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that MOTB does not own or control, or to people that MOTB does not employ or manage. 

 

2. INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE

  1. General 

    1.  Collection. MOTB collects personal information when you submit membership applications, committee applications, tailgate registrations, spirit store purchases, scholarship applications, event registrations and donations over the Internet with MOTB.  MOTB uses a third party module to process credit card transactions; MOTB does not store credit card information. 

    2. IP Address and Cookies. MOTB automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser, including your IP address, MOTB cookie information, and the page you request. 

    3. Use. MOTB uses information for the following general purposes: to receive your membership applications, committee applications, tailgate registrations, spirit store purchases, scholarship applications, event registrations and donations, improve our services, contact you, conduct research, and provide anonymous reporting for internal and external entities. 

    4. Email. If at any time you wish to stop receiving Motherhood of the Brotherhood’s electronic newsletters or other communications, or to be removed from our email list, you may unsubscribe from that list as explained in each message. Motherhood of the Brotherhood does not sell or otherwise provide your email addresses to third parties for mass mailings; however, we may occasionally send you mailings regarding events, products or services offered by reputable third parties if we think they may be of interest to you. In such circumstances, we do not provide the third party with your email address, but rather send the mailing ourselves. 

  2. Information Sharing and Disclosure 

    1. Sharing of Personal Information. MOTB does not share personal information about you collected through this web site with nonaffiliated third parties except (i) to provide the services you've requested, (ii) when we have your permission, or (iii) under the following circumstances:

      1. We provide the information to trusted partners, employees and volunteers who work on behalf of or with MOTB to assist them in executing their responsibility. MOTB’s auditors, legal counsel and other contractors are authorized to review MOTB records as required for the purposes for which they are engaged;  

      2. We respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims; 

      3. We believe it is necessary to share information with MOTB’s lawyers or advisors, with law enforcement agencies or officials, or with lawyers representing those agencies or officials, in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of MOTB's terms of use, or as otherwise required by law; 

      4. MOTB does not rent or sell personal information collected on this website to any outside organization or person(s).

  1. Updates to the Policy. MOTB may update this policy. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by placing a prominent notice on our site. Your continued use of the service constitutes your agreement to this privacy statement and any updates.
